Online Safety

Being safe online (also known as E-Safety) is becoming increasingly important, as both adults and children alike live their lives through the internet. We ensure that children are reminded of the SMART (Safe, Meeting, Attachment, Reliable and Tell) rules before starting a lesson using the Internet. However, most of the Internet access that children have is outside of school and therefore we want to ensure all our families are aware of the importance of keeping safe online.

Should you become aware of an incident, threat or concern when using the Internet with your child, we would ask that you inform the school so that we can share the information with the rest of our community.

SMARTPOSTER

We recently ran online safety presentations at our Parents' Evenings and the feedback was very encouraging:

"I am now more aware of the possible risks when letting my child use my phone; I'm going to make sure I know which sites she is using from now on."

"It is really important to make sure I don't share information on the internet otherwise it could get into the wrong hands."

Here is a link to the presentation we shared. We would welcome any further feedback on this issue.
