Early Years' Centre

Welcome to Greenacres Early Years' Centre.

Our aim is to provide high quality and affordable day care in a friendly, safe and stimulating environment; we achieve this through an active partnership with parents where their views and ideas are welcomed.

We follow the Early Years' Foundation Stage Curriculum and believe that children learn in a variety of different ways, we take every opportunity to provide them with a range of experiences both indoors and outdoors, our aim is for the children to meet or exceed the different stages and needs of their development.

Garden Open Door Policy

We have an open door policy where all children can access outdoor learning at anytime. Learning outside the classroom supports the development of healthy and active lifestyles by offering children opportunities for physical activity, freedom of movement, all the while promoting a sense of well-being.

Apple Tree and Pear Tree Room

We have two rooms in the Centre and offer either full-time, part-time and wrap-around childcare for children aged 2-4 years, you can find more information on each room by clicking on their page.

Communal Lunch Room

The EYC houses a communal lunch room where all the children get together and have breakfast, snack, lunch and tea. Communal meal-times further their development in language, independence and personal social skills, as it gives the children are chance to interact with one another.

We also offer a range of multicultural meals and snacks, catering to allergies, religion and preference! The children are encouraged to choose their own foods and to always try new foods.

Reading Areas

At the EYC, we feel that it is important for children to have access to books - thats why both of our rooms have designated reading areas. Our staff spend time reading with the children and encourage them to explore books by themselves.
